The 2019 trip was duel location to Lisbon and Porto in Portugal.
In Lisbon time was spent traversing the various forms of transport i.e trams both ancient and modern, buses and metro, followed by a trip to the transport museum. The famous Gloria elevator was out of service so the Lava elevator was used to climb the hill. From Rossio station the group rode to Sintra then onto the vintage tram to Praia Das Macas on the Atlantic coast.
Then onto Porto by electric loco hauled train where the group sailed the 6 Bridges river cruise. Next day was a visit to the tram museum, a look around the city, using the busy vintage tram system, a double decker bus , funicular and the metro.
The last full day included a 3 hour train journey along the Douro river valley to within 25 miles of the Spanish boarder.
